Pregnancy & Birth Adjustments

From the moment of conception through your pregnancy, your body experiences physical, chemical and emotional changes on a daily basis. Gentle and specific chiropractic adjustments make it easier to integrate this new experience with efficiency and ease, so you can focus on and enjoy the wonder of this magnificent time.

A study by the American Medical Association* found that women who received regular chiropractic care during their 3rd trimester, carried and delivered with more comfort.

Another study** concluded that with regular chiropractic adjustments mothers decreased the need for analgesics by half during their delivery. It also revealed that new mothers who were adjusted regularly had a 24% reduction in labor time.

Benefits of Chiropractic care in Pregnancy:

  • More comfortable pregnancy
  • Better sleep
  • Shorter labor time
  • Reduced need for pain medication in labor
  • Less need for medical interventions in labor
  • Proper pelvic alignment encourages optimal positioning of baby for labor

Adjustments for Children

Children grow, heal and change at a rapid rate. In childhood is where the physical foundation for the rest of our lives develops. A true state of optimal health and wellness in any person, including children, is more than the absence of disease or symptoms.

Beginning with the conventional, western birth process, children are exposed to a tremendous amount of stress and experience from very early. Learning to crawl, walk, and run, kids encounter countless falls and bumps and the neuro-spinal system adapts and stores each one. When the body’s ability to integrate experience exceeded, stress is stored in the neuro-spinal system and optimal function is inhibited.

Here is a list of common childhood conditions that families have seen great impact from chiropractic care that you may not have thought of as chiropractic issues. Chiropractors do not necessarily treat or cure these conditions, but they have been shown to help in profound ways by treating the children suffering from them and enhancing their general health.

  • Reflux in infants
  • Ear infections
  • Common Cold
  • Colic
  • Constipation
  • Growing pains
  • Bed wetting
  • Breastfeeding difficulties
  • Birthing Trauma
  • Sports injuries
